Getting to know each other and rough idea of the order

In order to get a first impression of the current or planned process, an assessment of the business situation and the process situation takes place in an interview with the process owners. The most important basic principles and fundamental issues are communicated. One component can be the development of a continuous process documentation of all information according to the SIPOC (LIPOK) method. The influence of the process on today’s business and which other business processes are important for the implementation of the strategy are analyzed. Processes are identified and classified and modeling of the process flow in a suitable program (e.g. MS Visio, ARIS Toolset, Lucid) is started. A SWOT analysis can support this process. Strengths and weaknesses are analyzed and can be eliminated. In addition, an assessment of the own capability, feasibility, realization period and the evaluation of future market conditions is carried out. Extensive planning information should be available in time for the planning. Therefore, in most cases, a close cooperation with the controlling or the respective departments is extremely advantageous.

The optimization of current processes, as well as newly planned processes, taking into account all circumstances, should lead to the maximum success of the company, respectively to the achievement of the set goals. The goal is the establishment of clear roles and responsibilities and the iterative procedure for detailed analysis, including interface and dependency analyses within the group. Project implementation

The description and visualization of the processes, including any disruptive factors, is recorded in a process profile. With the help of benchmarking, the maturity level reflects the current status of the strategy and enables control and the continuous improvement process (CIP). At the end of the preliminary meeting, recommendations are made for application. A holistic view of processes, structures and integration is created according to the ARIS concept: functional view, organizational view, data view, performance view incl. responsibilities (process owner model) and the orchestration and integration of coordinated individual processes in a comprehensive process map.

Interim meetings and reporting

Current processes are to be systematically checked at regular intervals and replaced by improved processes in order to demonstrate continuous progress in improvement. Strategic knowledge base is established and expanded. After establishing standardization in the context of administration and documentation, the continuous development of methods, automated processes and fast, frequent releases are ensured. Constantly changing requirements of digitalization are taken into account. A permanent accompanying goal is the interface analysis and the associated discovery of possible solutions.
