In order to learn the principles and practices of agile software development not only in theory, the Friedrich Alexander University of Nuremberg-Erlangen offers its students the AMOS (agile methods and open software) course. In the course, led by Prof. Dr. Dirk Riehle, students gain insights into software development as it is actually used in the free economy. Together with a selected industry partner, students implement a software project in practice. Over the course of a semester, Consileon supported a team of five students in the implementation of digitact<\/em> , a recruiting app tailored to the requirements of Consileon Business Consultancy. By completely digitizing the application process, not only applicants but also HR managers save unnecessary paper. This not only simplifies the entire procedure, but is also good for the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From mid-April to the end of July, the multinational team of students worked on digitact. In weekly sprints, with regular feedback rounds involving Consileon, the result was a recruiting app as open source software, the use of which is now planned at Consileon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our employees<\/a> Dirk Siegel, Thomas Harer and Thorsten J\u00e4ger supervised the student developer team as IT experts. Due to the great cooperation and the excellent result, a further participation in the AMOS project is planned for the coming semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
